Mill Cottage Garage

I was approached by a Client who was looking to demolish their existing timber shed and create a new build Gym Garage. The property is situated within a conservation area and very close to two very large oak trees.

I wanted to ensure that the road frontage of the garage looked traditional, almost like a barn to mirror the barn on the other side of the road. The garden side we decided to make very modern and to have a cantilevered roof with a glazed corner window and a triangular window above. As the trees were so close we had to build a raft foundation so that the tree routes were not damaged.

The interior decor and lighting scheme was designed by me, and I also managed the build.

I am really pleased with the finished product and feel very lucky to have this opportunity to design such a unique building. .
